Water is stored in a tank while the municipal supply is available. When supply is interrupted, the stored water can be delivered to selected fixtures or the property through gravity or a suitably designed pump system.
The correct size depends on the number of users, typical daily consumption, available installation space and how long you want the reserve to last. A site assessment is the best way to size the system properly.
A correctly sized booster pump can provide pressure to selected fixtures or the wider property. Pump selection depends on the required flow rate, number of outlets and property layout.
That depends on the original water source, tank condition, system design, maintenance and treatment. A storage tank or basic filter does not automatically guarantee potable water. Tell us if drinking-water use is required so appropriate filtration and treatment can be considered.
